Nu Jiang

Nu Jiang is the place were my friend Paul Delmain just visited. The far west of Yunnan province, bordering Burma (Myanmar) and Tibet. One of the most remote places in China - perhaps in the world. He wanted to visit the remote Dulong minority people, but their area were still cut off by snow from the rest of China at this time of the year(March). So this time it was a miss. But we hope to be able to return in September or October 2003 and try one more time.

The photos on this page are all taken by Paul along the Nu Jiang (Nu River) on his way to the Dulong people. A spectacular trip which we will write more about on this page.
